Zeekr Launches 9X Five-Seat Luxury SUV With 500 kW Fast Charging, Up To 1,381 HP

On July 28, 2026, Zeekr, a premium luxury electric and new energy vehicle brand under Geely Holding Group, launched the five-seater version of the Zeekr 9X, a flagship full-size luxury plug-in hybrid electric sport utility vehicle, in four variants, which are the Ultra Five-Seat 55 kWh, the Ultra Five-Seat 70 kWh, the Hyper Five-Seat 70 kWh, and the Obsidian Black Five-Seat 70 kWh.

The first, second, third, and fourth ones are available with the prices of 471,900 yuan (₹56.6 lakh), 486,900 yuan (₹58.4 lakh), 545,900 yuan (₹65.5 lakh), and 585,900 yuan (₹70.3 lakh), respectively. Its main rivals are the Li Auto L9, the AITO M9, the Yangwang U8, and the Lynk & Co 900. The length is 5,239 mm with a wheelbase of 3,169 mm; the width is 2,029 mm; and the height is 1,819 mm.

As a PHEV, it gets a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine and two electric motors, one on the front axle, which is set to be a permanent magnet synchronous motor, and the other is a P4 electric motor on the rear axle. The combined power output is 660 kW (885 hp) and 935 Nm torque. Offered with two different LFP battery packs, which are 55 kWh and 70 kWh, whose pure-electric CLTC range is 300 km and 380 km, respectively.

Also, a triple-motor setup version is available. Notably, it gets all available under the hood and on the front axle from the double-motor version and two P4 electric motors on the rear axle, one mounted with each wheel. Its combined power output is 1,030 kW (1,381 hp), and peak torque is 1410 Nm. Notably, it is available only with a 70 kWh LFP battery, but its emission-free CLTC range is only 355 km, 25 km less than the double-motor variant that comes with the larger battery pack.

The acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is 3.9 seconds for double-motor variants, which are Ultra Five-Seat 55 kWh and Ultra Five-Seat 70 kWh; the same for the last triple-motor variants, Hyper Five-Seat 70 kWh and Obsidian Black Five-Seat 70 kWh, is 3.1 seconds, and top speed is 240 km/h for all four variants. Notably, the drivetrain for the Zeekr 9X five-seater variants is all-wheel-drive.

They both are built on 900V high-voltage silicon-carbide electrical architecture supporting 500 kW DC charging. The variant equipped with the large battery pack takes only 9 minutes for 20 to 80 percent charging. It supports both Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V), with the maximum output of 6 kW and 60 kW, respectively. V2L helps with running the external electronic devices, and V2V with charging the EV.

Available with a seating capacity of 5 individuals in 2-3 layouts, all seats feature Nappa full-grain leather upholstery to enhance seating comfort. The second row has 1,400 mm of second-row legroom, making long travel comfortable. The first and second seats feature heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The dashboard has two 16-inch screens, one before the driving seat and the other at the center.

The seat available under the steering wheel digital instrument cluster shows all driving information, including digital speedometer, battery state of charge, and navigation with lane guidance. The centrally mounted screen is an infotainment system that is integrated with a 32-speaker Naim premium sound system, which ensures an immersive audio experience for both video and audio streaming.

Zeekr 9X Cabin

Other notable features inside the Zeekr 9X five-seater cabin are 1,082 liters of boot space behind the second row, which is expandable up to 2,472 liters by folding the rear seat. It also has a built-in refrigerator with a 6.5-liter center storage compartment with heating and cooling functions and a dual wireless smartphone charging pad, which helps with charging the phone conveniently without plugging it in.
