From July 30, 2026, Xiaomi Auto has finally started the pre-sale for the two extended-range electric sport utility vehicles under the Sky Nomad family. Notably, they are N70 Max and N90 Max. The presale amount for the former one is 259,900 yuan (₹36.78 lakh), and the latter is 299,900 yuan (₹42.44 lakh).
Anyone who is interested in owning any of these models may exercise the option of pre-ordering by paying the amount of 1,000 yuan (₹0.14 lakh). The market launch will take place in September 2026, and the launch price is anticipated to slightly lower the presale amount.
The Max is the top-end variant of both models. It will also come in two other variants, which are Standard and Pro. The upcoming two variants of each are set to cost less than the one they have recently introduced and started pre-selling.
In terms of powertrain and performance, the Max version of the Sky Nomad N70 and Sky Nomad N90 from Xiaomi Auto are similar. They both get a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo-petrol internal combustion engine under the hood, which acts as a generator to power the battery when the battery is depleted. It generates the power of 112 kW (150 hp).
Both models are equipped with two electric motors, one on each axle. The setup makes it an SUV with an all-wheel-drive drivetrain, and it features a single-speed automatic transmission. Its front and rear motors generate the power of 210 kW (282 hp) and 100 kW (134 hp); the combined maximum power output is 310 kW (416 hp).
The N90 Max takes 5.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, and the same for the N70 Max is still pending. Notably, the top speed for both models is 190 km/h. They are built on 800V high-voltage platform support. The N90 Max takes only 18 minutes for 20 to 80 percent charging. Just 15 minutes of charging adds 285 km of CLTC range.
The N70 Max is available with two different battery packs, which are 52 kWh LFP and 76 kWh NMC, giving a range of 350 km and 505 km, respectively, on the CLTC condition; and the N90 Max, with only 76 kWh NMC, helps it run up to 464 km on the same condition. Its combined range is also discussed; it can run up to 1705 km.
On the WLTC condition, the fuel efficiency for the N90 Max is 6.26 liters per 100 km, and the same for the N70 Max is 5.7 to 6.28 liters per 100 km, depending on the battery pack.
The N70 Max comes with 5 people seating capacity; its length is 4,960 mm with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm, width is 1,765 mm, and height is 2,950 mm; and the N90 Max features 7 people seating capacity, which measures 5,285 mm in length with a 3,080 mm wheelbase, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,825 mm in height. Its turning radius is 5.95 meters.
They feature the Xiaomi HAD (Hyper Autonomous Driving) assistant system with the Nvidia Drive Thor chip with 700 TOPS, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, roof-mounted LiDAR, 11 HD cameras, 4D millimeter-wave radar, and 12 ultrasonic sensors; and the N90 Max does have a rear solid-state LiDAR for improved rear perception and parking safety.
The front seats of both modes are power-adjustable and 180° rotating. The N90 Max variant comes with 1,831 liters of boot space by folding the third-row seats, 25-speaker premium audio that is integrated with the infotainment system, a 9-liter compressor refrigerator with heating and cooling features, and up to four zero-gravity seats to enhance the seating comfort and premiumness.
