Chery, the Chinese automobile manufacturer, has finally started the pre-sale for the compact all-electric sport utility vehicle Chery Fulwin T7 on August 12, 2026, for the domestic market. Drivers in China may show interest in buying by exercising the pre-order through the brand’s website or dealership.
They have introduced the model in three variants, which are Yuexiang, Shuxiang, and Zhixiang. The prices for the first, second and third ones are 109,900 yuan (16,485 USD), 119,900 yuan (17,985 USD), and 129,900 yuan (19,485 USD), respectively.
In the international market, it is available for sale with the name Lepas L6. The market launch in China is anticipated by September 2026, within a month after the pre-sale. Following the launch, it is all set to compete with the BYD Atto 3, the Geely Galaxy E5, and the Leapmotor B10.
Notably, the carmaker is already selling the model in the international market as Lepas L6; it will arrive in the Indian market soon, as they already have patented it in India. Even though its launch is pending in China, its core specifications are available in the public domain because of its appearance at the MIIT filing.
This upcoming pure-electric compact SUV is 4,570 mm longer, 1,852 mm wider, and 1,694 mm taller. The wheelbase, the distance between the axles, is 2,700 mm. Notably, compared to rivals such as the BYD Atto 3, the Leapmotor B10 and the Geely Galaxy E5, it is 20 mm, 35 mm and 50 mm shorter, respectively.
Reports confirm that it gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a one-speed automatic gearbox on the front axle. Since the PMSM is available under the hood, it features front-wheel-drive. Its power output is 178 kW (239 hp); the acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is still pending.
It can reach the maximum speed of 180 kmph. Under the floor, it has a Gotion High-Tech-supplied 65 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. When the battery pack is fully charged, it runs up to 600 kilometres on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle.
Support the fast DC charger, whose capacity is still pending. It takes 20 minutes for 20 to 80 per cent charging. The kerb weight is 1,780 kg. As a five-seater, it gets a boot space of 450 litres behind the second row, which is expandable up to 1,550 litres by folding the rear seat.
Thanks to second-row 911 mm legroom and 991 mm headroom, all three occupants in the rear seats get ample space to sit comfortably. Its drag coefficient is 0.286 Cd, 0.004 less than the BYD Atto 3, which results in better energy efficiency. To ensure the safety of each occupant, its cabin has 9 airbags.
Its interior image is now available in the public domain, which shows that it has a three-spoke, D-shaped, multi-function steering wheel whose column gets a gear selector. Behind it, there’s a slim digital instrument cluster showing driving data. The size of the display behind the steering wheel is still undisclosed.
Its centre dashboard has a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless connectivity via Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar, and CarLink. Its centre console, available between the front seats, has a wireless phone charging pad and also cup holders to enhance convenience.
Other features include 3-level seat heating and 3-level ventilation for the front-row seats to enhance the seating comfort for the co-passenger and driver. Get 3 millimetre-wave radars, 7 high-resolution cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors for the intelligent cruise control and autonomous parking.
Notably, the front seat support folds flat, which meets with the rear seats and makes a bed-like structure for resting during the driving breaks. The cabin has a large panoramic sunroof, a USB charging port, dedicated AC vents in the front and second rows, and soft-touch upholstery for seats.
