After launching the Denza N8L PHEV in July 2026, BYD’s Denza has unveiled the timeline to launch its all-electric counterpart. The subsidiary of the Chinese EV giant has officially confirmed that it will launch the Denza N8L EV in the domestic market in September 2026. The actual date is still pending, but the report suggests it will be happy around the second week of the month.
The launch of the pure-electric version of the Denza N8L has been awaited by many drivers in China who are looking for an all-electric option since the debut of its PHEV trim. They are most likely to launch this model by organizing an event. This upcoming six-seater SUV will go on sale in more than one variant with different prices, giving options to buyers to choose which one is the ideal choice for them.

Li Hui, the general manager of Denza, BYD’s subbrand, himself has confirmed the launch of N8L EV. They have made an announcement regarding the launch with the release of a poster that shows it has one of the segment’s leading frunk (front trunk storage) of 208 liters and captions the timeline related to the launch in September 2026.
About this e-SUV.
The EV version of the Denza N8L is set to have measurements similar to the PHEV trim, whose length, width, and height are 5,200 mm, 1,999 mm, and 1,820 mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 3,075 mm. There are six seats inside the cabin in a 2-2-2 layout with decent cargo space to carry luggage.
The frunk, whose capacity is mentioned above, provides adequate space to carry camping equipment, beach gear, sports equipment, and other outdoor luggage. A family whose utmost outings can consider this e-SUV too before making any purchase decision.
The EV version will also use the Gen e³ vehicle control technology with the DiSus-A intelligent air suspension and God’s Eye advanced driver-assistance system with roof-mounted LiDAR that features navigation on autopilot for city driving and highway cruising.
Reports confirm that it will be equipped with the next-generation blade battery pack, which supports megawatt-level charging and can charge the vehicle from 10 to 97 percent in just 9 minutes. Two battery pack options are certain; however, the capacity of either of them isn’t yet confirmed.
Its cabin is set to borrow most of the interior features from its plug-in hybrid electric counterpart, which gets eco-leather upholstery; its driver seat comes with 8-way electric adjustment and lumbar support, and the front passenger with 8-way electric adjustment and lumbar support. They also have heating, ventilation, memory, and 10-point massage.

The Denza N8L nameplate made its debut in the Chinese market back in October 2025 with the plug-in hybrid electric powertrain; it gets refreshed with a second-generation blade battery pack this July, and now the carmaker has announced that its all-electric counterpart is also coming.
Since the nameplate debut, a total of 29,631 units have been sold out, including 13,024 between October and December 2026 and 16,607 between January and July 2026.
