Denza Z, the upcoming two-door four-seat electric sports coupe, has finally started arriving at dealerships across China. Drivers who are interested in buying may have a physical look at this car. BYD’s subsidiary has already confirmed that they are going to launch it in the last quarter of 2026, which will compete with the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.
The dealership-spotted image floating on the internet for this upcoming car shows the car in two versions, coupe (hardtop) and racing (track-focused). A Spider (convertible) will be introduced. The presale for this upcoming vehicle is already taking place with the 680,000 yuan (101,187 USD) starting price.

Dealership arrival images for the Denza Z are shared by Yan Zhao Auto, which reveals the standard coupe version is coming with a silver exterior color with the blackened pillars and roof. Notably, all the Denza dealers have received this car; as the arrival is taking place, soon it will be received in all dealerships in the country.

One that is in coupe body has a length, width, and height of 4,780 mm, 1,990 mm, and 1,330 mm, respectively, with the wheelbase of 2,780 mm. The spider’s dimensions are the same as the coupe, but the racing version has a length of 4,870 mm and a width of 1,990 mm; the height and wheelbase remain the same.
Its core specifications have already emerged thanks to China’s MIIT filing release for the vehicle. This upcoming car gets three electric motors; one is available on the front axle, and two are mounted on the rear axle. The front one delivers 500 kW of power, and each rear one generates 340 kW.
The combined power output is 1,180 kW (1,604 PS or 1,582 hp), and peak torque is 1,240 Nm. Its acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is 2.25 seconds and 2.3 seconds for the coupe and racing and spider, respectively; top speed is 350 km. Its drivetrain is electric all-wheel-drive.
This car’s e-motor gets power from a 76 kWh BYD second-generation Blade battery pack. After the launch in China, it will also go on sale in the European market. The UK-spec model has the same battery pack but gives a range of 409 km, 399 km, and 380 km for the Coupe, Spider, and Racing, respectively.
The Denza Z is built on the e3 performance platform, which has rear-wheel steering reducing turning radius, 360° compass turn capability, vehicle motion control, and DiSus-M intelligent magnetorheological suspension with a double wishbone at the front and a five-link at the rear.
Inside, it features a D-shaped steering wheel behind which there’s an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.8-inch central touchscreen infotainment system features Hi DENZA voice control integrated with the 12-speaker Devialet audio system, ensuring an immersive audio experience.

In 2026, between January and July, BYD’s Denza has sold 85,737 units, including 6,002 in January, 5,501 in February, 7,133 in March, 11,250 in April, 16,303 in May, 20,352 in June, and 19,196 in July. The month-on-month growth or degrowth with sales gaps is inside the table.
