Onvo's Updated L60 Can Swap Its Battery in 3 Minutes And Costs Less Too

Onvo, the Chinese automaker Nio’s sub-brand, has launched the updated Onvo L60, a mid-size SUV, on June 11, 2026, in three variants that are Pro, Max+ and Ultra+, whose prices are 192,800 yuan (₹23.2 lakh), 202,800 yuan (₹24.4 lakh) and 222,800 yuan (₹26.8 lakh).

Also available for sale is the BaaS (battery as a service) scheme, where one has to pay for the battery depending on use after making a purchase. Notably, the price of the car without the battery pack is 57,000 yuan (₹8 lakh) less than the actual price of the variant.

Reportedly, the delivery is all set for June 12, 2026, just a day after the launch. Notably, the price of the base model is 6.8 per cent lower than the outgoing model, meaning the carmaker has made it more affordable to buy. Compared to its predecessor, it has received a total of 106 upgrades.

The mid-range and top-end variants are now equipped with Nio’s in-house 5nm smart driving chip, Shenji NX9031; they also get roof-mounted light detection and ranging units. It works with NWM, featuring point-to-point Navigate-on-Pilot, urban and highway assisted driving, and automated battery-swap station entry and exit.

The base variant comes with the same Nvidia’s Orin-X chip with computing power of 254 TOPS (Trillions of Operations Per Second). It features Highway Navigate-on-Autopilot with automatic lane changes, overtaking slower vehicles, highway entry and exit assistance and adaptive cruise control; and intelligent parking with automated parking, remote parking assistance and parking space recognition.

The updated Onvo L60 is built on the Nio NT 3.0 platform and features 900-volt high-voltage architecture which enables faster DC charging, higher drivetrain efficiency, reduced energy losses, and better performance at high speeds.

Offered with two battery packs that are 60 kWh and 85 kWh, whose CLTC condition range is 560 km and 740 km, respectively. Comes with both battery swapping and charging features. It takes only 3 minutes to swap the battery pack, and charging 10-80% takes 25 minutes.

Available with both single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations, the former one’s motor generates the power of 322 hp and peak torque of 305 Nm. It takes 5.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, and top speed goes up to 200 km/h; the latter’s two motors deliver 456 hp power and 440 Nm torque. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, and the maximum speed it can reach is 203 km/h.

The top-end variant ‘Ultra+’ is now equipped with a roof-mounted 17.3-inch 3K foldable rear entertainment screen for rear-seating passengers for video streaming and gameplay with an 8-inch control screen, an electric sunshade for the panoramic sunroof to enhance comfort and premiumness, and a six-litre built-in refrigerator that supports both cooling and heating of beverages and eatables.

The cabin still features a three-spoke steering wheel, and instead of a traditional digital instrument cluster, it retains a 13-inch Head-Up Display (HUD) that projects the driving data on the windscreen. The centre of the dashboard is the same 17.3-inch 3K central touchscreen infotainment system as its predecessor, which runs on Coconut OS and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit.

The central console is still equipped with two wireless charging pads that help in charging the phone conveniently. Other features that are retained are the steering-column gear selector, AI-based voice assistant that does touch-based functions over voice commands, the 18-speaker sound system that ensures a better audio experience, and 16-million-colour ambient lighting across the cabin enhance mode.
