Leapmotor's C-Series SUV Lineup Gets Big Upgrades: Launch on June 16

On June 3, 2026, Cao Li, senior vice president of Leapmotor, shared a video on Weibo that they are all set to launch the updated versions for the C-series SUVs on June 16, 2026, which includes C10, C11, and C16. In the video, he also quoted that the aim behind introducing the 2026 model for them is to consolidate their competitiveness in the market.

The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer has officially released the image of all upcoming SUVs from Leapmotor with a few details. Notably, the updated C10 gets a new split LED headlight setup, an overall refreshed upfront styling, a new body-paint option in gold colour, and even its length is increased by 10 mm, and it is now set to be offered with two wheel size options that are 18 inches and 20 inches.

Its interior is also upgraded; now the cabin comes with a new brown theme featuring updated trim and materials to add premiumness. Reportedly, we will also see upgrades in the performance; the EREV version’s motor output is now increased by 200 kW and pure-electric range by 190 km, and the BEV version’s motor now delivers 230 kW more power.

Moving to the updated C11, it gets an updated headlight system giving better visibility for nighttime driving; like C10, it will also be offered with the gold exterior colour option. Other notable upgrades in the exterior are 20-inch wheels giving bold road presence and green four-piston brake callipers.

Its interior is also offered with the new brown; the main upgrade inside its cabin is double-layer laminated front-row glass, which improves quietness inside the cabin. Similar to the C10, the C11 variants are also set to be introduced with increased motor power output, meaning its EREV version now has more than 200 kW and BEV has more than 230 kW power output.

And now, transitioning to C16, its features include an updated family-style front design, making it more eye-catching. Like two other upcoming updates in the C series, it will also come with two new gold exterior colour options, and its length also increased by 10 mm, making its measurement 4,925 mm. With this increase, it is now set to offer more ample legroom.

It will also be introduced with the brown interior theme, improving the cabin’s aesthetics, and besides this change, its interior hasn’t received any upgrades, meaning you are all set to see the dashboard, seating, infotainment system, etc., the same as the outgoing model. The boot space is likely to be increased, as the upcoming one is now slightly longer than the standard one.

They will also introduce it as both EREV and BEV; the power output of their motor is also increased by 200 kW and 230 kW, like its two other siblings, whose updated version will also be introduced in the Chinese market with it. Notably, the updated extended-range electric vehicle will now feature the pure-electric range of 185 km, meaning its battery pack is also upgraded.

The existing C10, C11, and C16 from Leapmotor are available for sale in the Chinese market with the starting prices of 122,800 yuan (₹17.25 lakh), 149,800 yuan (₹21.05 lakh), and 151,800 yuan (₹21.32 lakh), respectively. The updated ones are expected to be available with prices ranging from 150,000 yuan to 180,000 yuan, which translates to ₹21.1 lakh to ₹25.3 lakh in Indian currency.
