From July 15, 2026, the South Korean automobile manufacturer Kia has started accepting the order for the Kia Syros EV, with the amount of ₹25,000, which is refundable. The carmaker is yet to reveal the actual price of the model, but they have officially confirmed that this EV will make its debut in the Indian market with two different NMC battery pack configurations and a total of seven variants.
Battery pack options are 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. The former one is available in three variants, HTK, HTK+, and HTX, and the latter in four, which are HTK+ ER, HTX ER, HTX+ ER, and X-Line ER. Notably, the mode will also be available for sale under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) with the 3.3 rupees per km battery subscription option.
With the standard battery, it can run up to 443 kilometers, but the larger one gives a range of 526 km on the ARAI/MIDC condition. The model gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor; it is mounted on the front axle with single-speed automatic transmission. As the e-motor is on the front axle, its drivetrain is front-wheel-drive.
Reportedly, with the standard battery packs, the electric motor generates the power of 135 hp, but the same with the larger one is 171 hp. The peak torque for both is 255 Nm. The acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is claimed as 8.1 seconds, and it’s capable of reaching the maximum speed of 160 km/h for long-range variants. Features 400-volt electrical architecture and supports DC chargers up to 100 kW.

For the standard and larger battery pack variants, it takes 24 minutes and 39 minutes for 10 to 80 percent charging. Comes with an onboarded 11 kW AC charger for home charging, which takes 4 hours and 4 hours 50 minutes for 10 to 100 percent charging for 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt battery packs, respectively.
Available with eight standard color options, they are Glacier White Pearl, Frost Blue, Gravity Grey, Pewter Olive, Magma Red, Ivory Silver Matte, Ivory Silver Gloss, and Aurora Black Pearl. The X-line is available in two exclusive color options: Matte Graphite and Aurora Black Pearl. Outside, it has Kia lettering on the bonnet, lower air intakes, a bumper-integrated fog light, vertically oriented headlights, and daylight running lights.
Other notable features on its exterior are thick wheel arch cladding, side skirts, blacked-out front-door-integrated outside rear-view mirrors, roof rails, flush-type door handles at the sides, vertically stacked LED tail lamps, a rugged bumper with a skid plate, Kia lettering on the tailgate, a roof-integrated spoiler, a roof-mounted shark-fin antenna, and a braking light on the sides of the windshield at the rear.

The interior is available in two standard themes, Cloud Blue & Grey and Onyx Black & Off-White, and the X-line with Onyx Black & Hunter Green. The dashboard has a 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system at the center of the dashboard; between them there’s a 5-inch climate control display.

The infotainment system comes with wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple Carplay, Kia Connect 2.0 with over 95 connected features, and over-the-air software updates. It has a three-spoke steering wheel whose column mounts a shift-by-wire gear selector and a wireless smartphone charging pad on the center console. The infotainment system is integrated with the eight-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system.
Notably, it has both front and rear ventilated seats to enhance seating comfort not only for the driver and co-passenger but also for rear seating passengers. The driver seat is electrically adjustable in four ways so the driver may find the most comfortable seating position. Other notable features are a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 64-color ambient lighting, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags.
