The parent company of Jetour, Chery, is all set to launch the Jetour T2, a mid-size rugged adventure plug-in hybrid electric sport utility vehicle, in the Indian market under the banner of JSW Motors. The date for the launch is most awaited but yet to be confirmed, but there’s high speculation that they will introduce it in India by the 2026 festive season, i.e., Diwali.
In 2026, Deepawali is falling on November 8, so we are expecting that the JSW motor will launch this plug-in hybrid electric vehicle by late October or early November. Like the launch date, the price is still uncertain, but it is anticipated that the ex-showroom price will be between 25 and 30 lakh rupees.
It is set to be imported as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) and assembled at the Greenfield plant in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, to be sold in the Indian market. Notably, it will be introduced with the same specs and features with which they are offered in the international market. Let’s have a closer look at the Jetour T2.
Modern LED lighting and rugged body

Upfront, it features a large rectangular grille with six horizontal slats, squared-off LED headlights with integrated rectangular LED DRLs that connect with JETOUR lettering, and a chunky bumper and silver skid plate.
On the sides, it features mechanical door handles, Y-shaped alloy wheels, black wheel arches, roof rails, and double-toned ORVMs with integrated indicators. The rear features a side-opening tailgate gate, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, a vertical slim taillight, a rugged bumper, and a roof-integrated braking light.
Long wheelbase and big boot space
The length, width and height are 4,785 mm, 1,880 mm and 2,006 mm, respectively, giving it a bold road presence. The wheelbase of 2,800 mm gives ample legroom, and ground clearance of 220 mm ensures that the car runs smoothly on rough roads.
Features five doors, four on the sides, and a tailgate at the back. Comes with a seating capacity of 5 people in the traditional 2-3 configuration layout. Behind the rear seat, it features a boot space of 580 litres that can be extended up to 1,494 litres to help in carrying the big luggage and get a 70-litre fuel tank, ensuring better range.
Large infotainment system and premium sound system

The dashboard is equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel with physical buttons, under which there’s a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, and at the centre just above the central console, there is a 15.6-inch floating infotainment display that acts as the control panel of the cabin, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155/8255 automotive chipset.
The infotainment system supports wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and also features ‘Hello Jetour’ voice control that does touch-based functions over the voice control. To ensure an immersive sound experience, it gets a Sony premium 12-speaker sound system. The front row also gets a wireless charging pad for phone charging and a cup holder compartment.
Decent pure-electric range and quick acceleration
Under the hood, it gets a 1.5-litre turbocharged GDI petrol internal combustion engine with a power output of 154 hp and a peak of 220 Nm, and an electric motor on the front axle with a maximum power of 221 hp and a peak torque of 390 Nm. The combined power output is 380 hp, and peak torque is 610 Nm. The drivetrain is front-wheel drive and features a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission.
The acceleration timing is from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.5 seconds, and the top speed goes up to 197 kmph. Equipped with a 26.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, whose emission-free NEDC range is 139 kilometres and combined range is over 1,000 kilometres, it supports a DC charger that charges it 30 to 80 per cent in 30 minutes. The fuel efficiency is 6.3 kilometres per litre.
