Deepal, the subsidiary of Changan Automobile, launched the L06 Max in two different trims, which are 560 Max and 670 Max. The price for the first one is 118,900 yuan (16,646 USD), and the latter is 128,900 yuan (18,046 USD).
Reportedly, they are now available with the limited-time promotional offer, whose price range from 125,900 to 135,900 yuan translates to 17,626 to 19,026 USD.
Seating, Cargo & Dimensions
The L06 Max is available with the seating capacity of 5 people in a layout of 2 and 3, the first two separate seats, and rear features seating in bench style.
The boot space is 464 liters and can carry 4 big pieces of luggage, and the frunk is 100 liters, enabling carrying small items. However, the rear seats are foldable, which increases the cargo space up to 1,200 liters.
The dimensions in terms of length, width, and height are 4830 mm, 1905 mm, and 1480 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase, the distance between the front and rear wheels, is 2900 mm.
Exterior & Design
The L06 Max gets a closed-off grill for EV styling and gives a modern appearance; features a split headlights setup and slim DRLs at the upper and main headlamp units at the lower for better visibility; equipped with a sculpted bumper with the sporty air inlets for the cooling.
On the sides, the vehicle comes with frameless doors for an airy cabin, flush-type door handles to reduce drag, and large alloy wheels for bold road presence; and at the rear, it has a full-width LED light bar, sharp and thin taillights to add a premium touch, and a clean bumper with a diffuser-style finish for styling appearance.
Interior & Features
The L06 Max is equipped with a 15.4-inch 2.5K touchscreen for infotainment, which controls navigation, media, and vehicle settings. No traditional instrument clusters are added to the dashboard. The system is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 with Fast UI performance and smooth app switching.
The front seats are electrically adjustable, featuring heating, ventilation, and memory function to enhance the cabin mood and get multiple-color ambient lighting, and to ensure a theater-like audio experience, the cabin gets a multiple-speaker audio system.
Also gets a few smart features including Intelligent Parking Assist, Remote Parking Assist, a 360° panoramic camera, and ADAS with millimeter-wave radars and cameras featuring Highway Navigation Pilot (HNP) and adaptive cruise and lane assist. This advanced tech setup is similar to what we’ve seen in Changan’s Nevo Q06, which also prioritizes high-end ADAS and smart driving features.
Brake & Suspension
The front wheels get MacPherson strut independent suspension, and the rear features multi-link (five-link) independent suspension. They feature magnetorheological (MagRide) adaptive suspension to ensure a smooth driving experience and feature ventilated front disc brakes and disc brakes for powerful braking.
Battery, Range & Charging
The L06 Max comes with two LFP battery packs, which are 56.12 kWh and 68.82 kWh. The standard one has a CLTC range of 560 km, and the larger one runs 670 km on the full charge. It supports 3C fast charging, which adds 350 km of range with 15-minute charging.
Motor & Performance
The L06 Max gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor, which is mounted with the rear axle, featuring a rear-wheel drive configuration. The transmission is single-speed automatic. Its power output is 200 KW, and peak torque is 290 Nm.
The 0-100 km/h acceleration timing for the standard battery pack and large battery pack takes 5.8 seconds and 6.2 seconds, respectively, and top speed is electrically limited to 200 km/h.
