BYD’s sub-brand Denza has officially launched the Denza N8L EV, a large six-seater sport utility vehicle, on September 15, 2026. These two variants are Flash Charge Prestige and Flash Charge Flagship, with the prices of 299,800 yuan (44,280 USD) and 329,800 yuan (48,700 USD). This is available for sale with both single-motor RWD and triple-motor AWD drivetrains. Let’s have a closer look at its specifications and features.
This Denza electric car is built on BYD’s advanced e3 electric platform; the Flash Charge Prestige variant gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle that is mated with a one-speed automatic gearbox. The motor gets power from a 130.15 kWh LFP Blade Battery battery pack and generates 370 kW (503 hp) power, and peak torque is 960 km on CLTC condition.
The speed for both single-motor and triple-motor variants is 240 kmph, and the 0 to 100 kmph acceleration timing for RWD is 5.9 seconds. On the other hand, the Flash Charge Flagship trim gets three electric motors, one on the front axle and the other two on the rear axle. It also has a 130.15 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, getting power from the same; the front and each rear motor deliver 270 kW (362 hp) and 310 kW (416 hp).
This vehicle is based on 800V Silicon Carbide (SiC), which supports ultra-fast charging with lower thermal degradation. With the maximum charging output, it takes only 5 minutes for 10 to 70 per cent charging and 9 minutes for up to 97 per cent. It is equipped with the DiSus-A Air Suspension, which has dual-chamber air springs paired with continuous damping control adaptive shocks.

The combined power output is 890 kW (1,193 hp), which makes 0 to 100 kmph acceleration possible in 3.9 seconds. The range in CLTC condition is 850 km. It has a seating capacity of six people in a 2-2-2 layout, which has a boot of 364 litres that can be expanded up to 1,128 litres. There’s also a 208-litre frunk (front storage trunk) that helps with carrying the small items conventionally.
The dimensions of this car in terms of length, width, and height are 5,200 mm, 1,999 mm, and 1,820 mm, respectively. Notably, its height can be increased by 80 mm with an optional roof-mounted drone bay. The wheelbase of this car is 3,075 mm; its main rivals are the AITO M8, the NIO ES8, and the Li Auto L8. Compared to them, the first, second, and third ones are 30 mm longer, 5 mm, and 70 mm shorter, respectively.
The front and rear track widths are 1,720 mm and 1,725 mm, respectively. It sits on 20-inch alloy wheels that wear 255/50 tyres. Its cabin has a 5-screen ecosystem with a 50-inch augmented reality head-up display, a 17.3-inch 2.5K touchscreen infotainment system, a 13.2-inch entertainment screen for co-passengers, and two rear displays.

Its cabin has a 20-speaker Default audio sound system, which ensures an immersive audio experience inside the cabin. Other notable features inside the cabin are two wireless phone charging pads with cooling features that charge the phone without plugging, a 32-megapixel cabin monitoring camera for video calls, safety recording, and all seats with heating and ventilation functions.
The first two seats also have a 10-point massage function. It is also equipped with the God Eye 5.0, which features navigation autopilot for city driving and highway cruising, automated parking, etc., with the help of roof-mounted LiDAR, 11 high-definition cameras, 5 millimetre-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. It also has active rear-wheel steering up to ±10 degrees, which reduces the turning radius up to 4.58 metres.
