JSW Jaecoo J5 EV, iCar V23 & QQ3 EV India Launch: Prices From ₹10 Lakh

In the next two years, JSW Motors is all set to introduce three all-electric SUVs in the Indian market from the Chinese automaker Chery and its subsidiaries. The models slated for launch in India are the JSW Jaecoo J5 EV, JSW iCar V23, and JSW QQ3 EV

The JSW Jaecoo J5 EV may make its debut in November 2026 with the expected ex-showroom price of 18-22 lakh rupees; the JSW iCar V23 may be early with 20-25 lakh rupees; and the JSW QQ3 EV is likely in late 2027 with 10-14 lakh rupees. Let’s have a closer look at these upcoming EVs.

JSW Jaecoo J5 EV

JSW Jaecoo J5 E

The JSW Jaecoo J5 EV is a subcompact crossover SUV offered with a single LFP battery pack of 60.9 kWh whose NEDC range is 461 km. Its electrical architecture is 400-volt, supporting the 130 kW DC charger that takes 36 minutes for 10 to 80 per cent charging. It comes with an onboard charger of 11 kW that takes 6 hours for the full charging of the vehicle.

Offered with a single electric motor that is mounted with the front axle (FWD), meaning it features an all-wheel drive configuration, which generates the power and torque of 211 hp and 288 Nm, respectively, which makes the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds, and its top speed is 174 km/h. Its transmission is a single-speed automatic transmission.

Features a seating capacity of five people in a layout of 2 and 3 and has a boot space of 480 litres that can be extended up to 1180 litres by folding down the rear seat. It also gets a frunk (front trunk storage) of 35 litres. Its dimensions in terms of length, width and height are 4,380 mm, 1,860 mm and 1,650 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2,620 mm.

The JSW iCar V23 is a five-door compact SUV that comes with two battery packs that are 59.93 kWh LFP and 81.76 kWh NMC, whose NEDC range is 360 km and 430 km, respectively. Their electrical architecture is 400-volt, but the standard pack supports the DC charger up to 85 kW, but the larger one up to 104 kW that takes 30 minutes for 30% to 80% charging.

The car with a 59.93 kWh battery pack comes with a single-motor RWD drivetrain, and the 81.76 kWh battery pack features a double-motor, one on each axle, AWD configuration. The power output is 136 hp and peak torque is 180 Nm for the RWD variant, featuring 0-100 km/h acceleration in 11 seconds, and the same for the AWD trim is 211 hp and 292 Nm, but it takes only 7.5 seconds to sprint from 0-100 km/h. The top speed for both is 140 km.

It comes with the seating capacity of 5 people in a traditional layout; its cargo space is 234 litres that can be expanded up to 744 litres by folding down the rear seat. There’s also a 90-litre underfloor hidden compartment. Its dimensions, in terms of length, are 4,220 mm; width is 1,915 mm; height is 1,845 mm; and 2,735 mm wheelbase. 

JSW QQ3 EV

The JSW QQ3 EV is a five-door subcompact hatchback; it comes with two LFP battery packs of 29.48 kWh and 41.28 kWh. The SR battery pack has an NEDC range of 280 km, and the same for the LR battery pack is 400 km. The electrical architecture is 400-volt for both battery pack and supports DC chargers up to 85 kW; for 30 to 80 per cent charging, the SR takes 12 minutes and the LR requires 16.5 minutes. 

A car with both battery packs gets a single electric motor on the rear axle featuring a rear-wheel drive drivetrain. The power output and peak torque for SR are 78 hp and 90 Nm, and the same for LR are 122 hp and 115 Nm. To accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h, both take 3.8 seconds, and the top speed for both is 125 km.

Offered with a seating capacity of 5 people in a traditional layout, which has a cargo space of 375 litres. The rear seat is foldable, expanding the boot up to 1450 litres, enabling the carrying of big luggage, and there’s also a front trunk of 70 litres. The dimensions are 4,195 mm in length, 1,811 mm in width, 1,573 mm in height, and 2,700 mm in wheelbase.
