230 km EV Range, 1,400 km Total: Lynk & Co 08 EM-P Max Launches

On June 3, 2026, Geely’s Lynk & Co officially launched the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P Max for the Chinese market with a price of 188,800 yuan, which translates to 26.72 lakh rupees in Indian currency. The EM-P Max of the premium plug-in hybrid electric mid-size SUV is equipped with a 38.2 kWh LFP battery pack, giving it an emission-free, i.e., pure electric, range of 230 km under CLTC conditions.

Notably, the combined range as plug-in hybrid electric vehicles is 1,400 km. The carmaker claims that when the battery is depleted, it consumes 4.5 liters of fuel for each 100 kilometers of driving. As a PHEV, it gets a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol ICE under the hood that is mated with the three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission, and the front axle is equipped with the PMSM.

The internal combustion engine delivers 120 kW power and 255 Nm torque, but the permanent magnet synchronous motor does 180 kW and 350 Nm. Combined, they generate the maximum power of 300 kW and peak torque of 315 Nm. Reportedly, to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h takes 6.5 seconds, and top speed goes up to 190 km/h.

As the motor is mounted with the front axle, it features a front-wheel-drive drivetrain and uses single-speed automatic transmission. The Lynk & Co 08 EM-P Max is built on CMA Evo, the upgraded version of Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) that is co-developed by Volvo and Geely. Its front suspension is a MacPherson strut, and the rear is multi-link, ensuring a smooth riding experience.

The braking for the front wheel is a managed disc for better heat absorption and powerful braking, but the rear wheels use a solid disc. Also features a parking brake that can be controlled by a button instead of a hand lever. For braking, it also features an anti-locking braking system with electronic brake force distribution, electronic stability brake, and brake assist.

To make the driving stress-free and semi-autonomous, it is equipped with an intelligent advanced driving assistant system with Navigation Autopilot featuring a roof-mounted LiDAR unit, 11 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and 3 mm-wave radars. Notably, the ADAS is powered by an Nvidia Orin-Y chip whose computing power is trillions of operations per second.

Inside, it gets ventilated and heated front seats; they are also electronically adjustable with a memory function, and the center of the dashboard is equipped with a 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto, and the cabin gets a 23-speaker Harman Kardon sound system that ensures an immersive audio experience.

Before the driver’s seat, on the dashboard, there’s a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that shows all the driving data. Both screens inside the cabin are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. The front row even has a wireless charging pad for phone-charging convenience for the front-seating passenger or driver.

The cabin also gets ambient light, a storage compartment, tri-zone climate control, USB charging ports, a CN95 filtration system, 545 liters of boot space that can be expanded up to 1227 liters by folding down the rear seats, and rear AC vents for heating and cooling of rear seating passengers, and these seats don’t have heating and ventilation functions.

The length, width, and height are 4,825 mm, 1,915 mm, and 1,660 mm, and the wheelbase of 2,848 mm ensures better legroom for rear-seating passengers, while the ground clearance of 186 mm helps the car to pass the potholes and speed breakers easily. Its kerb weight is 2,120 kg, and the approach and departure angles are 18 degrees and 21 degrees, respectively.
