Mercedes-Benz C-Class EV Interior Revealed Ahead of Global Unveil on April 20

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class EV is all set to be unveiled on April 20, 2026. Before its official showcase the German automobile maker has revealed its interior.

How’s its interior?

The cabin is equipped with a single curved touchscreen screen which measures 39.1 inches; it stretches across the dashboard. Basically, it includes a digital instrument cluster for drivers that shows all the driving data, a central infotainment system that works as a control panel of the cabin and a passenger display for the entertainment of the front-seating passenger.

Instead of the one large screen, it will also be available with the option of three different screens for different purposes: instrument cluster, infotainment and passenger display. There are very few physical buttons; all the controls of the cabin are through the touchscreen and voice control. Physical buttons are available on the steering wheel, but they are touch-sensitive.

The ambient lighting is available across the cabin, which extends through the dashboard, door panels and footwells. It features a multicolour lighting profile that can sync with music and driving mode and enhances the cabin aesthetic. The panoramic sunroof is available as an option; it is embedded with the 162 illuminated stars, whose lighting pattern syncs with the ambient lighting.

All the seats inside the cabin are electronically powered, and the comfort of the driver and passenger comes with ventilation, heating and a memory function. It comes with the option of vegan leather and nappa leather; the first is eco-friendly, and the latter comes with ‘Twisted Diamond’ stitching.

It features a Burmester 3D surround sound system; it is a high-end multi-speaker setup that gives a theatre-like as well as immersive sound experience. Another notable feature is the New-Generation HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) System, which helps with fast heating and cooling.

To make the cabin quiet, it features laminated acoustic glass, advanced sound insulation, a rigid body structure, refined electric motors and elastomer mounts which help in reducing the noise. The cabin gets metallic trims, but the options of wood and carbon fibre are available, and three colour themes are available that include black, brown and beige.

What about its exterior?

It has undergone testing many times, and it has revealed many details about its exterior too. Up front, there’s a closed-off grill for modern EV styling. It comes with slim LED headlights that are connected with a light bar, which gives it a wide and modern look. The sporty bumper at the front-end adds sportiness.

In profile, it gets a coupe-like silhouette, i.e., it has a slightly sloping roofline that improves efficiency and range too. The door handles are flush-type; it not only adds premiumness but also reduces air resistance. The large aero-optimised alloy wheels at the side are also notable, because they not only enhance the look but also improve its road presence.

The rear gets a full-width LED taillight 3D star lighting signature; the boot design is clean, as there’s no exhaust since it is an electric vehicle. The subtle diffuser at the back works with the better airflow, and the bumper at the back adds a slight sporty touch. Overall the rear gives a futuristic appearance and makes it recognisable even from the back.

Anything about powertrain?

The powertrain details are set to be made public with the launch. But few things are certain. It will get two electric motors, one in the front and the other in the rear, featuring an all-wheel drive configuration. It is built on the MB.EA platform, and its electrical architecture is 900-volt, meaning it supports ultra-fast charging.
