Mercedes VLE 300 Deliveries Begin: 4,078L Boot With Front Seats Only

After starting pre-sale on April 16, 2026, Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury automobile manufacturer, has started the delivery of the Mercedes-Benz VLE 300 Launch Edition, an all-electric luxury multi-purpose vehicle, from June 20, 2026, in Europe. 

The carmaker firstly showed its concept version Vision V at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, and then they started testing the prototype in July 2025. After starting the pre-production back in September 2025, they unveiled it in March 2026, which followed by the booking.

In Germany, the launch edition is available with the price of €82,260 for the five-person seating layout, and the six-seater costs €82,712. Notably, the standard version with different seating capacity will be available for sale in late 2026 with the prices of €70,464 and €70,916. 

The Mercedes-Benz VLE 300 is available with two wheelbase options that are 3,342 mm and 3,517 mm. The length, width, and height for the former are 5,309 mm, 1,999 mm, and 1,943 mm, respectively, but the same for the latter are 5,484 mm, 1,999 mm, and 1,943 mm.

Built on VAN.EA (Van Electric Architecture), it features a front-wheel drive drivetrain. It gets an electric motor on the front axle with a single-speed automatic transmission. The e-motor generates the peak power of 203 kW, which translates to 272 hp, that is, 276 PS. 

The acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is under 7 seconds, and the top speed is 180 km/h. Equipped with a 115 kWh nickel manganese cobalt lithium-ion battery pack, whose range is 713 kilometers on the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure.

Being built on 800-volt electrical architecture, it supports DC chargers up to 300 kW. With maximum charging output, it can charge the electric vehicle from 10 to 80 percent in 25 minutes. Just 15 minutes of charging adds the WLTP-rated range of 355 kilometers.

The suspensions are independent; the first is adaptive dampers, and the rear is self-leveling air springs. Both feature an AIRMATIC air suspension system, which uses air springs that continuously adjust pressure according to road conditions and ensure a comfortable driving experience on all types of roads.

It also features rear-wheel steering up to 7 degrees, which reduces the turning cycle and helps the vehicle to park in a compact area and take sharp turns; basically, its rear wheels turn opposite to the front wheel up to 7 degrees when driving at a slow speed.

Inside, it features MBUX Superscreen, which stretches across the dashboard. It combines a digital instrument before the driver’s seat, an infotainment system at the center, and a co-passenger entertainment screen. 

The full-width screen runs on the MBUX system, which features AI-powered voice assistants that do touch-based functions over voice commands, connected navigation, over-the-air software updates, smartphone integration, and a digital services ecosystem.

For entertainment of rear-seating passengers, it also features a 31.3-inch 8K theater screen that is mounted on the ceiling, which supports video streaming, game playing, and also video conferencing.

To ensure an immersive sound experience, it is equipped with a Dolby Atmos sound system. Other notable features are a wireless phone charging pad in the front row for better practicality and a large panoramic sunroof to add premiumness and make the cabin more spacious.

Comes with a removable seat to make it more practical for carrying luggage. With only two front seats, it features a boot space of 4,078 liters, which is huge, and it can be used for big luggage conveniently. 

To ensure premium comfort, seats come with massage and heating functions. They are also electronically adjustable so the occupants may find the most comfortable seating posture, and large legroom helps in better practicality.
