In 2026, between January and May, Tata Motors sold 45,304 units of battery electric vehicles, including six different models that are the Tigor EV, Tiago EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, Curvv EV, and Harrier EV. Let’s have a closer look at the sales figures.
In January, they sold 8,616 units, but the sales in February went down to 7,982 units; in March, they increased to 9,288 units; again, in April, sales decreased to 9,041, and in May, they increased to 10,377, the first time in sales history they crossed the mark of 10,000.
In February, the carmaker registered month-on-month degrowth of 7.38%; then in March, they registered growth of 16.36%. Again, in April, sales declined by 2.66%, but in May, they increased by 14.78%.
In June 2026, the sale of passenger EVs from Tata Motors is anticipated to go above 12,000, registering a decent MoM growth, because of the Tiago EV facelift on May 27, 2026. July 2026 may be the month it will cross the sales of 15,000 units, because of the Sierra EV launch on June 30, 2026, a much-awaited SUV.
As of now, Tata Motors is selling six models under the electric vehicle lineup. The first among them is the Tigor EV; it is available for sale in the Indian market with the ex-showroom price between ₹12.49 lakh and ₹13.75 lakh. The carmaker is all set to introduce its facelift in August 2026, after which we may get to see an increase in its sales.
The second model is the Tiago EV; they launched its facelift version on May 27, 2026, with the price between ₹6.99 lakh and ₹9.99 lakh. It is available with two different battery packs that are 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh, whose ARAI-certified range is 250 km and 315 km, respectively. It supports fast DC charging, taking only 35 minutes for 10-80%.

The third one is the Punch EV; the manufacturer has made it available in the Indian market with the starting ex-showroom price of ₹9.69 lakh and going up to ₹12.59 lakh. They are offering it with two LFP battery packs that are 30 kWh and 40 kWh, whose ARAI-certified range is 365 km and 468 km, respectively.
The Nexon EV is in its fourth month; it is available for sale with the ex-showroom price ranging from ₹12.49 lakh to ₹17.49 lakh. It is also available with two lithium-ion battery packs that are 30 kWh and 45 kWh. The standard battery pack gives the ARAI-certified range of 275 km, but the larger one does 489 km.
The fifth model is the Curvv EV; it is available for sale with a starting ex-showroom cost of ₹16.99 lakh and goes up to ₹19.49 lakh. It is also available with two battery LPF battery packs; the first one is 45 kWh, giving a range of 430 km under ARAI conditions, but with the 55 kWh battery pack, it runs up to 502 km.
The Harrier EV is the sixth model in the Tata Motors EV lineup; it costs ex-showroom between ₹21.49 lakh and ₹30.23 lakh. It’s available with both single-motor RWD and double-motor AWD drivetrains. The RWD comes with both 65 and 75 kWh lithium-ion battery packs, giving a range of 538 km and 627 km, respectively, and AWD is equipped with a 75 kWh battery, which runs up to 622 km.
Tata Motors has already disclosed the timeline for the launch of the seventh and eighth models under the EV lineup. The seventh is set to be the Sierra EV, which will make its debut on June 30, 2026, and the eighth is the Safari EV, which is most likely to be available for sale in November 2026.
