Tata Motors have launched the Curvv EV X Series in three variants that are Accomplished X 55, Empowered X 55 and Empowered X 55 #DARK, whose ex-showroom prices are ₹16.99 lakh, ₹19.19 lakh and ₹19.49 lakh, respectively. The first two variants are available in five colours, including Nitro Crimson, Virtual Sunrise, Empowered Oxide, Pure Grey and Pristine White.

502 km ARAI-certified Range

Built on the acti.ev architecture, it comes with a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle featuring a front-wheel drive drivetrain, and its transmission is single-speed automatic. The power output is 167 hp, and peak torque is 215 Nm, which makes it accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds, and maximum speed goes up to 160 km/h.
Offered with a single LFP battery pack of 55 kWh, whose Automotive Research Association of India certified range is 502 km (while the 2026 Tata Harrier EV Fearless+ QWD offers up to 622 km). Its electrical architecture is 400-volt, which supports a DC fast charger up to 70 KW that takes 40 minutes from 10 to 80 per cent charging. Gets a 7.2 kW AC portable charger for home charging that takes 8 hours for a full charge.
Features a seating capacity of 5 people in a layout of 2 and 3; has a boot space of 500 litres that can be extended up to 973 litres to carry luggage by folding the rear seats; and has a frunk (front trunk storage) of 11.6 litres that can be used for carrying small items. Other features highlights are the following:
- Accomplished X 55: There are two 10.25-inch touchscreens on the dashboard; the first one is mounted at the centre for the infotainment of occupants, and another is under the steering wheel as the digital instrument cluster. Its seats are made up of plush Benecke-Kaliko leatherette to ensure better comfort; both front seats are ventilated and feature an openable sunroof with mode lighting. To enhance the infotainment experience, it comes with a 4-speaker and 4-tweeter sound system and also gets Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a wireless phone charger for the convenience of occupants. For safety purposes, it also has a 360-degree surround-view camera with blind spot monitoring.
- Empowered X 55: It is offered with a 12.3-inch HARMAN touchscreen as an infotainment system with JBL’s 9-speaker sound system. Features of the Arcade.ev app suite, multi-colour ambient lighting, level 2 ADAS with autonomous emergency braking and lane Keep Assist. The driver’s seat is six-way electrically adjustable, and rear seats feature two-stage reclining. It has a powered tailgate that can be controlled with a gesture and also has V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) and V2L (vehicle-to-load) features.
The Empowered X 55 #DARK has all the standard features of the Empowered X 55, but what makes it unique is that it has an exclusive blacked-out cabin which enhances the interior’s premiumness.
Exterior & Design
Dimensionally, in terms of length, width, height, wheelbase and ground clearance, all three variants are the same with the measurements of 4,310 mm, 1,810 mm, 1,637 mm, 2,560 mm and 186 mm, respectively. The Accomplished X 55 has 17-inch alloy wheels with 215/60 types, and the Accomplished X 55 and Empowered X 55 #DARK has 19-inch with 215/55 tyres.
Up front, it features Tata’s signature connected LED DRLs with goodbye and welcome animations, a closed-off grill for EV styling, and vertical LED headlamps. The sloping roofline, flush door handles and large aero-optimised wheels are visible at the sides. At the rear, the connected LED taillights are visible, mirroring the front, sporty bumper and twin spoilers.
