Wey, a sub-brand of Great Wall Motor, is all set to start the pre-sale for the V9X, a plug-in hybrid vehicle, from April 17, 2026. It is a large six-seater SUV whose electrical architecture is 800-voltage and the only model in the compact line-up that has used the GWM One platform.

It is the fifth model in the brand’s line-up and the fourth sport utility vehicle. The pricing for V9X will be made public near the launch, which may happen very soon. It is likely to be 300,000 to 330,000 Chinese yuan, which translates to 41 lakh to 45 lakh Indian rupees.

2-2-2 Seating Layout

The Wey V9X’s dimensions in terms of width and height are 2025 mm and 1825 mm. It is available with two lengths: the first one is 5205 mm, whose wheelbase is 3050 mm; and the other one is 5299 mm, whose distance between the front and rear wheel is 3150 mm.

The seating capacity of six people is available in a layout of 2-2-2. The second row features a caption seat featuring armrests on both sides with a recline. It features a boot space of 527 litres, and the rear seats are foldable; folding then increases the cargo.

Double-Tone Body Colour

The V9X front fascia features a full-width LED light strip, giving it a futuristic as well as premium look, and its slim headlights and DRLs (daylight running lights) make the front look sharp. The illuminated logo at the centre adds more premiumness during the night, and the wide and strong grill makes its road presence powerful.

On the sides, it has clean and smooth lines, giving it a simple and classic design and ‘Skyline’ character. Large alloy wheels not only enhance road presence but also give a sporty feel, and traditional door handles add better practically. It features double-tone colour options for the premium appeal.

The back also gets a full-width LED tail light mirroring the front lighting signature. The lighting elements are available on an oval, giving a unique design over its rivals. The positioning of the taillight is slightly up, adding a classy touch inspired by the traditional architecture.

ADAS With LiDAR Sensor

The interior of the V9X is quite spacious and full of smart features. For the comfort of occupants, it comes with zero-gravity seating with a reclining function. The cabin features a roof-mounted large screen for rear-seating passengers and multi-coloured ambient lighting to give the premium feel during the nighttime.
