China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recent filing release has revealed that the Avatr Technology is to launch a new mid-size luxury SUV in China with the name of Avatr 07L; many sources are also referring to the car with the name Avita 07L.

It is an upgraded variant of the five-door mid-size crossover SUV Avatr 07 that is already available for sale in the Chinese market with the price range from 219,900 to 279,900, equivalent to 31,910 to 39,350 USD.

Filing shows that the upcoming one measures 4,910 mm in length and 1,980 mm in width. The carmaker will introduce the vehicle in China with two height options that are 1,650 mm and 1,670 mm, and its wheelbase, the distance between the front wheel and rear wheel, is 2,990 mm.

Notably, the Avatr 07L is 85 mm and 50 mm longer in terms of length and wheelbase, respectively, compared to its standard model. With the increase in the measurements, now rear-seating passengers will get better legroom, and it also enhances stability.

The official image of the car from the MIIT filing has revealed all about its exterior and design. Up front, it features a split headlamp layout; LED daylight running lights are placed above, and main LED headlights are installed below, giving a futuristic appearance.

On the front, it also features a sculpted bumper that has deep air channels for better airflow management and roof-mounted LiDAR to reflect that the car comes with a level 2 advanced driving assistant system. a technology also showcased in the recently revealed 2026 BYD Seagull.

In profile, it features semi-hidden door handles to improve aerodynamics, roof-mounted rails that help in carrying luggage on the roof, and large alloy wheels for bold road presence.

At the back, its full-width LED taillight bar adds modern premium styling and a wide stance; the U-shaped diffuser creates sporty visuals, and the clean tailgate gives it a futuristic look.

Set to be introduced with a seating capacity of 5 people in a layout of 2-3, the boot space behind the rear seat is expected to be slightly more than its standard variant, as it is a little longer.

The Avatr 07 has a boot space of 500 liters, so it is expected that the Avatr 07L will have around 600, which will help in carrying 4 pieces of big luggage easily.

The passenger seat at the front is likely to come with zero-gravity, heating, ventilation, and massage functions to enhance comfort for long journeys.

Even the rear seat is expected to feature heating, ventilation, massage functionality, and reclining backrests to ensure a convenient travel experience.

The automobile manufacturer hasn’t yet revealed its interior; reports say that its cabin will have a 35.4-inch Ultra-Wide Fish Screen that acts as a digital instrument cluster showing all the driving data and a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system at the center of the dashboard with HarmonyOS.

Inside the cabin, it may also get a multiple-speaker Meridian Premium audio system, multi-color ambient light, panoramic glass roof with UV and heat protection, double wireless phone charging pad, AI-based voice assistant, and multiple USB ports in both rows.

China’s MIIT filings clearly show that the car is equipped with the 896-line LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) that is part of Huawei’s Qiankun ADS System, which features urban navigation assist, highway autopilot, and smart parking.

It is confirmed that the Avatr 07L will make its debut in China as both a battery electric vehicle and an extended-range electric vehicle.

The EREV gets a 1.5 liter turbocharged petrol engine under the hood and a 231 kW electric motor on the front axle. It comes with two LFP battery packs that are 39.05 kWh and 52.01 kWh, whose WLTC range is 197 km and 270 km, respectively.

The EV is built on 800-volt electrical architecture, similar to the high-end tech found in upcoming 7-seater EVs in India and global premium SUVs. it has a single motor on the front axle featuring a front-wheel drive configuration. It uses a single-speed automatic transmission. Its power output is 305 KW.

Its launch may happen by late 2026 with the price between 250,000 and 300,000 CNY, which is equivalent to 37,000 to 44,00 USD.
