The Fangchengbao Ti 6, the smaller and more affordable alternative for the Fangchengbao Ti 7, was spotted testing on public roads in China for the first time. The spy shots of the same are shared on WeChat, which shows the front end and side. They are seen in heavy camouflage with the intention to hide the exterior design. Let’s have a closer look at what we know about this upcoming car.
What do the FCB Ti 6 images reveal?
The spied image shows this upcoming car is boxy with the upright stance and longer hood. It has a closed-off front grille like other Fangchengbao electric SUVs for better aerodynamics; the front-end lighting signature is integrated with an L-shaped daylight running light and main headlamps above the same. Other details that are clearly visible from the front end are roof-mounted LiDAR.
From the sides, we get to see the high bonnet lines, wide squared-off wheel arches breaking the large alloy wheels, enhancing their road presence, pull-type door handles for better practicality, a large outside rearview mirror to get a clear view of vehicles running behind, and roof racks with a flat roofline.
Other details that we know about the Fangchengbao Ti 6.
The Build Your Dream subsidiary company Fangchengbao hasn’t disclosed any details officially for this upcoming car. A Chinese report claims that it will launch as a five-seater with the traditional 2-3 seating layout with the cargo capacity of 780 litres behind the second-row seats to make carrying the luggage convenient.
The report also mentions its dimensions to be 4,805 mm, 1,960 mm, and 1,880 mm in terms of length, width, and height, respectively, with the wheelbase of 2,810 mm. If believed to be true, the upcoming car under the FCB banner is set to be 194 mm shorter and 35 mm narrower than the premium Ti 7, which is already on sale in the Chinese market.
The roof-mounted LiDAR hints about the offering of DiPilot 300 (“God’s Eye B”), the BYD’s ADAS suite, which offers full-scenario Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) across both highways and complex urban city streets, and ACC and LCC at top speed of 130 kmph with the 300 TOPS computing chipset.

Fangchengbao, the subbrand of BYD, sells a total of four models in the Chinese market, two under the Boa family and two under the Ti (Tai) series. They are Bao 5 and Bao 8; the first one is a mid-size plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, and the latter is full-size; and the Ti 3 is an all-electric mid-size SUV, and the Ti 7 is a five-seater family car with both battery electric and extended-range electric powertrains.
The sale figures in the first eight months of 2026 are 242,255 units, including 21,581 in January, 17,036 in February, 25,926 in March, 29,138 in April, 30,186 in May, 35,607 in June, 41,213 in July, and 41,568 in August. The highest number of units were delivered last month, with the month-on-month and year-on-year growth of 0.86% with 355 more sales and 155.57% with 25,303, respectively.
Will it also be sold out of China?
BYD hasn’t yet officially confirmed that they will also introduce this model to the international market. The FCB Ti 7 that is already on sale in China has already made its internal debut under the BYD and Denza banner. So, we are expecting the same for the upcoming model. If they had a plan to introduce outside China, very soon they will make an announcement regarding it.
