Skoda, the Czech automobile manufacturer, has finally unveiled the flagship all-electric sport utility vehicle Skoda Peaq. This pure-electric SUV is the fourth car in the EV lineup, after the Epiq, Elroq, and Enyaq, and it is positioned above them, and it will take on the Kia EV9, Hyundai Ioniq 9, and Volvo EX90.
After revealing it on June 23, 2026, they are all set to start taking orders in Europe, most probably in August 2026, with the on-road price ranging from £51,980 to £60,380, which translates to ₹65.07 lakh to ₹75.58 lakh. They may also be introduced to the Indian market; however, no date for the same is confirmed.
Powered flush-type door handles and T-shape lighting
Upfront, it gets eyebrow-shaped LED daylight running lights connected with the multiple vertical LED slats, and the main matrix headlights are in a T-shape. Other notable features on the front end are functional air intakes on the bumper for cooling of electrical components and a closed grille.

On the sides, it features large alloy wheels; options of 19 inches to 21 inches are available depending on the variant. Other things that are visible on the sides are powered flush-type door handles, black wheel arch cladding, and electrically adjustable and foldable double-tone outside rear-view mirrors with integrated blinkers.
At the rear, it gets T-shaped LED taillights that are connected via U-shaped black cladding, SKODA lettering on the tailgate, a chiseled bumper, roof-integrated spoilers just above the windshield to ensure better aerodynamics, and a roof-mounted shark-fin antenna to reflect that it is equipped with smart features.
Ample boot space with a seven-person seating layout
Its length, width, and height are 4,874 mm, 1,867 mm, and 1,664 mm, respectively. The wheelbase, the distance between the front and rear axles, is 2,965 mm; compared to the Volvo EX90, the Kia EV9, and the Hyundai IONIQ 9, it is shorter by 20 mm, 135 mm, and 165 mm, respectively.

The ground clearance is 184 mm, good enough to easily pass the road with potholes and speed breakers. Available with a seating capacity of 7 people in a 2-3-2 layout, behind their row, there’s a boot space of 299 liters that can be used to carry luggage. It also has a front trunk storage of 37 liters.
Two wireless charging pads and a vertical infotainment system
In front of the driving seat, there’s a two-spoke steering wheel with SKODA lettering and physical buttons for control, under which is a 10-inch horizontal-shaped digital instrument cluster. The center of the dashboard is equipped with a 13.6-inch floating vertical touchscreen infotainment system.
On the central console, it gets lock/unlock, hazard, and volume controls on the upper and lower; three toggles get climate control inside the cabin, among which the center one works to control the fan speed and sides help in adjusting temperature.

The central console also has two wireless phone charging pads that help in charging the phones conveniently for both the driver and co-passenger. For phone charging, USB ports are also available across the cabin.
The infotainment system is equipped with a 16-speaker Sonos sound system to ensure a better audio experience inside the cabin. Other notable features are a panoramic sunroof and a digital key that helps in locking and unlocking the vehicle via smartphone.
Ten airbags as standard and additional comfort features
For the safety of occupants, it is equipped with 10 airbags that play a vital role in saving lives in case of collision, a 360° camera giving the surround view, an advanced driving assistant system suite, and auto-parking assistance.
An augmented reality head-up display, which projects the driving data on the windshield, and a relax package are also available as options that include AGR-certified seats with a massage function, power-adjustable leg rests, and pillows on the front seats.
Two-battery configuration and AWD drivetrain option
Available with both single-motor RWD and double-motor AWD drivetrains, the transmission option for both is a single-speed automatic that is mated with a motor mounted on the rear axle. Two battery pack configurations are offered that are 63 kWh and 91 kWh; notably, the rear-wheel drive is available with both, but the all-wheel drive is with only the larger one.

The one equipped with a standard battery pack supports a DC charger up to 160 kW, which takes 27 minutes for 10 to 80 percent charging, and larger battery packs support a DC charger up to 199 kW, which takes 28 minutes.
