Now the brand has officially started the delivery for the five-seat trim.

The delivery for the six-seater variant began on September 19, 2026, just two weeks after the launch, but for the five-seat trim, the start of delivery took around two months. Reportedly, after the launch, more than 5,000 firm orders were received, but the actual sale number for both six-seaters and five-seaters is yet to be made public.

The wheelbase is above 3 metres.

At the centre of the dashboard, we can see the 15.6-inch central touchscreen infotainment system. These screens run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8397 chip. The cabin also gets a streaming rear-view mirror, which shows rear traffic clearly.

Based on the E0X platform.

The Freelander 8 is built on Chery’s high-voltage E0X platform, getting two electric motors, one on each axle, and an internal combustion engine. The ICE is a four-cylinder turbocharged engine that delivers 115 kW (154 hp). The front and rear e-motors put out 360 kW and 250 kW, respectively, whose combined power output is 610 kW.

It has also been revealed officially that its 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing is 4.6 seconds. Among the revealed details, it also appears that the wheel-end torque is 8,000 Nm at the rear wheels via a 2-speed rear reducer with low gear. Thanks to the 35.7-metre 6-piston callipers and 404 mm rotors, the braking distance at the speed of 100 kmph is 35.7 metres.
