The Kia Syros EV launch happened on July 23, 2026. They have introduced the model in seven variants with two different lithium-ion battery pack configurations. Their variants are HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTK+ ER, HTX ER, HTX+ ER, and X-Line ER; their ex-showroom prices are ₹13.50 lakh, ₹15.00 lakh, ₹16.00 lakh, ₹17.00 lakh, ₹18.00 lakh, ₹19.50 lakh, and ₹20.00 lakh, respectively.
The launch of the Syros EV from Kia took place just 8 days after the start of presale. Notably, they have officially confirmed the date for the delivery; reportedly, the carmaker will start it on July 30, 2026. It is all set to give tough competition to EVs in the segment, which includes the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, and MG Windsor EV.
Two battery packs and decent range
The first three variants are available with a 42 kWh battery pack, and the last four are with 51.4 kWh. All variants are available as front-wheel-drive vehicles, getting a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle with a single-speed automatic gearbox. The power output for the standard and large-range variants is 135 hp and 171 hp, respectively, but the peak power is 255 Nm.
When the battery pack is fully charged, the standard one gives the range of 443 km on ARAI conditions, but the same for the larger one is 526 km. The last four variants can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.1 seconds, and the maximum speed for all seven variants is 170 kmph, as per the company. They are yet to reveal the 0-100 km/h sprinting time for the first three variants that feature standard range.
The carmaker claims that all variants support DC chargers up to 100 kW, but the variants equipped with the standard and large battery packs take 24 minutes and 39 minutes, respectively, for 10 to 80 percent charging. Comes with a standard 7.4 kW AC charger, which takes 6 hours for the first three and 7 hours 15 minutes for the last four variants.
Nine color options and aerodynamic exterior design

They have introduced the Syros EV in nine color options, which include Glacier White Pearl, Frost Blue, Gravity Grey, Pewter Olive, Magma Red, Ivory Silver Matte, Ivory Silver Gloss, Aurora Black Pearl, and Xclusive Matte Graphite. Its length is 3,995 mm, width is 1,805 mm, and height is 1,670 mm. Upfront, it has a 16-liter frunk, Star Map LED DRLs, LED headlamps, and a silver skid plate on the bumper.
On the sides, it has a wheelbase of 2,550 mm, ground clearance of 180 mm, flush-type doors for both doors, squared-off wheel arches cladding, a large front-door-mounted outside rear-view mirror with blinkers, and 17-inch double-tone alloy wheels; and at the rear, it boasts an L-shaped taillight on the windshield corner, a roof-integrated spoiler with a stop light, and vertical taillamps just above the bumper.
Five person seating capacity and smart features

Available with 5-person seating capacity in 2-3 arrangements. It has a boot space of 390 liters behind the second two seats, which is foldable and slidable; by sliding, the cargo capacity can be increased to 465 liters, but by folding, it can be significantly increased. The center console has a wireless phone charging pad. Other notable features are a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a shift-by-wire column gear selector, and leatherette upholstery.
The dashboard features a 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display, which includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster under the three-spoke steering wheel, a 12.3-inch touchscreen at the center, and a 5-inch climate control display between them. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto and Kia Connect 2.0 with OTA software updates. It is integrated with the Harman Kardon 8-speaker premium audio system.

Notably, the front seats are ventilated, and the driver seat is electrically adjustable in four ways that help in finding a comfortable seating position for the driver. The front row gate dashboard integrated air conditioning vents for cooling and heating of co-passengers and the driver. AC vents are also available in the second row for the comfort of rear-seating passengers depending on the weather conditions.
