On August 31, 2026, XPeng, the Chinese carmaker, announced that they have achieved the milestone of 20,000 deliveries for the recently launched full-size XPeng GX. It took around 103 days to reach the number of sales since the launch. The company has even revealed the name of the person who they have delivered the 20,000th unit; the person’s name is Bu Xinwen, the general manager of Bosch Huayu Steering Systems.
20,000 sales breakdown.
The market launch for the Xpeng GX took place on May 20, 2026, and the delivery for the model began shortly after that date. In the month this six-seater car launched, a total of 284 units left the store, and then in the following month, the sales were 6,739, and in the month after that, the delivery numbers were 7,140.
The sum of the May 2026, June 2026, and July 2026 sales is 14,163 units, as per the China Passenger Car Association data. As the twenty thousandth units have been delivered on August 31, 2026, it means, during the whole month, they have sold at least (20,000 – 14,163), i.e., 5,837 units.

GX’s closest rival.

The NIO’s Onvo L90 is among the rivals of the XPeng GX, which is available for sale in the Chinese market from July 31, 2025, with delivery beginning on August 1, 2025. Since the launch, as of July 2026, a total of 61,121 units have been sold out for this model. The sum of the June and July sales is 5,435 units; compared to the XPeng GX delivery number of the same timeline, it is 8,444 fewer.
About the XPeng GX SUV.
This SUV is on sale in China as an EV and EREV as a six-seater in a 2-2-2 layout with 800V electrical architecture. The EV is available with both RWD and AWD drivetrains, whose power output is up to 430 kW (577 hp). Two battery pack options are available, 91.9 kWh LFP and 110 kWh NMC, giving the CLTC range 665 km and 750 km CLTC, respectively. It supports 5C ultra-fast charging.
Its EREV version has a 1.5-liter four-cylinder internal combustion engine, an electric motor on each axle, and a LPF battery pack of 63.3 kWh. Its pure-electric range is 430 km on CLTC conditions, and combined is 1,585 km with the 60-liter fuel tank. The power output of the electric motor is 370 kW (496 hp), making 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 4.98 seconds, and top speed is 200 km/h.
The length, width, and height are 5,265 mm, 1,999 mm, and 1,800 mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 3,115 mm. It has dual-chamber air suspension with the double-wishbone independent at the front and H-arm multi-link independent at the rear. It also has an AI-integrated chassis control system, brake-by-wire technology, and second-generation VLA AI with City NGP and Highway NGP.
An 8.8-inch digital instrument display is available behind the steering wheel along, and it also have a 8.8-inch AR-HUD. A 17.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system is available at the dashboard’s centre, and a 21.4-inch 3K rear entertainment display is mounted with the ceiling, to control which there’s an 8-inch control screen on the center console’s rear part accessible from the second row.
