Avatr, the premium Chinese smart electric vehicle manufacturer, has officially unveiled the exterior design of their upcoming flagship 9-series SUV that they designed, collaborating with the Huawei Qiankun, intelligent automotive solution company. They have unveiled the model by releasing three exterior images that show the front, sides, and rear.
Chen Zhuo, the president of Avatr, has released the image of the exterior. Besides the release of the exterior images for design unveiling, all the specifications and features are yet to be made public; even its nameplate is pending.

Upfront, it has a closed-off grill with a dot-matrix pattern giving it a premium touch, split headlights with the daylight running light in the upper area in a horizontal shape, and main headlamps placed lower, roof-mounted. LiDAR reflecting the vehicle is arriving with an intelligent ADAS suite, with a sculpted bonnet giving the tough SUV characteristics.
The sides have multiple-spoke large alloy wheels being bracketed with the pronounced wheel arch, semi-hidden door handles to reduce drag without compromising practicality, blackout pillars adding a floating roof effect, silvered roof rails adding practicality for boxes carrying on the roof, and double-toned outside rear view on the front doors.

Its rear boasts a large windscreen for clear view of traffic behind via IRVM, a roof-integrated spoiler full-width LED taillight on the tailgate that connects with the slim horizontal-shape taillamp on the outside, creating a wide stance, an Avatr letter just above the taillight strip at the centre for branding, and a bumper-integrated horizontal shape reflector to make the car visible to others at night when parked.
What else do we know about this Avatr 9-series SUV?
Another detail that this car’s exterior images reveal is a large panoramic sunroof that expands over the cabin. Like other core specifications, its dimensions are pending. As it is coming as a six-seater in a 2-2-2 layout with executive seating in the second row, we are anticipating it to measure more than 5 metres with a wheelbase of around 3 metres and are most anticipated to come with adjustable ground clearance with active air suspension.

This upcoming SUV will be positioned against the Aito M9, Li Auto L9, Denza N9 and IM LS9 in the Chinese market. The registration of its powertrain is totally uncertain, as they launch the car with BEV and EREV, we are expecting that this six-seater SUV will go on sale with both powertrain, giving choice to buyers for the BEV who don’t afford if range anxiety, and EREV to those need a electrified car without having any headache related to range.
