Chery iCaur V25 Cabin Revealed: Large Touchscreen, Column Shifter, Leatherette Seats

The Chery iCaur V25, an upcoming extended-range electric sport utility vehicle, is known by the name Chery iCar V25 in the Chinese market. As of now, there’s no update on its lunch in China. In July 2026, Chery, the Chinese automobile manufacturer, applied for the sales license, which reveals its core specifications. Reportedly, the market launch is anticipated in the third quarter of 2026.

Firstly, they will start the pre-sale and then launch it, which will be followed by the delivery. The exterior image of this upcoming electrified SUV is available on the internet, which already revealed the exterior design and details, and on July 30, 2026, for the first time, its interior image was shared by Autohome, China’s largest automotive media and online automotive service platform.

The spied image of the cabin reveals that before the driving seat it has a four-spoke steering wheel, which has physical buttons for control and setting. Its steering column has a gear shifter. Zooming the image, we find that under the same, there’s a slim digital instrument cluster to show the driving data. It’s tough to say about its size, but it seems to be around 10 inches.

The center console is clearly visible; it has two wireless phone charging pads that help in charging the phone conveniently and two cup holders to enhance practicality for both. Just above the center console, it has a horizontally oriented touchscreen infotainment system, which is set to support over-the-air software updates, wireless smartphone connectivity, and an AI voice assistant.

Notably, below the infotainment system, it has three air vents to keep the cabin’s front row cool or warm depending on weather. Just below the air conditioning vents, four knobs are clearly visible, which seems to be for driving mode and volume. After the release of the official image, we finally get to know what they actually are. 

Other things that we get to know are the interior images that feature a seating capacity of 5 people in 2-3 arrangements. Notably, seats have leatherette upholstery to enhance seating comfort and premiumness. Behind the second-row seat, it has a large boot space; although the capacity is still pending, it can easily accommodate multiple pieces of luggage.

The exterior images have already revealed that it has an upright stance and round-shaped LED headlights integrating daylight running lights. The front rugged bumper enhances its modern appearance. Other highlights on the exterior are flush-type handles for the door, squared wheel arch cladding, horizontal LED taillamps, and a side-opening tailgate. 

The length, width, and height are 4,636 mm, 1,920 mm, and 1,855 mm, respectively. Its wheelbase is 2,820 mm. The front track is 1,635 mm, and the rear is 1,642 mm. Features 736 mm front and 1,080 mm rear overhang. It comes with a towing capacity of 1,800 kg; kerb weight of 2,117 kg to 2,240 kg, depending on the variant; and two wheel size options are set to be available, including 19-inch and 21-inch.

As an EREV, it gets a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine, whose power output is 115 kW (154 hp). If only the rear-wheel-drive variant debuts, then it will get a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle mated with a single-speed automatic transmission; if an all-wheel-drive also arrives, it will also feature an induction motor on the front axle.

Set to be equipped with a 33.67 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, giving the 145 km or 150 km range on the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure condition. Reports suggest that the WLTP fuel efficiency is 1.52 liters per 100 km and 1.54 liters per 100 km, depending on the variant.
