Built Your Dream launched the BYD Seal 08, a full-size luxury sedan, on July 2, 2026; within the launch of 30 hours, they received more than 65,000 orders, including 40,000 blind bookings during the pre-sale and 25,000 new orders after the launch. They are available for sale with both plug-in hybrid electric and electric powertrains.

The Premium PHEV, Flagship PHEV, and AWD Flagship PHEV get a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine under the hood; the first two are equipped with one electric motor on the front axle, featuring a front-wheel drive drivetrain, and the last one is equipped with two electric motors, one on each axle, featuring all-wheel drive.
The FWD variants generate the power of 272 hp (200 kW) and peak torque of 315 Nm; their 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing is 7.9 seconds, and their top speed is 240 km/h, and the only AWD variant has a combined power output of 699 hp (514 kW) and peak torque of 670 Nm; it takes only 4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h and can reach the maximum speed of 250 km/h.
All three variants are equipped with a 45.12 kWh second-generation LFP blade battery pack, which gives the CLTC range of 400 km and 350 km for the first two and last variants, respectively. The combined range for RWD is 1,660 km, and for AWD it is only 1,000 km.
On the other hand, the Premium EV and Flagship EV get an electric motor on the rear axle featuring a rear-wheel drive drivetrain, which generates the power of 500 hp (368 kW) and peak torque of 450 Nm, whose 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing is 5.4 seconds and top speed is 240 km/h.
And the AWD Flagship EV variant features two electric motors, one on each axle, featuring an all-wheel drive drivetrain whose combined power output is 694 hp (510 kW) and peak torque is 670 Nm; its 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing is 3.3 seconds, and its top speed is 250 km/h.
All three variants are equipped with a 100.5 kWh next-generation Blade LFP battery pack. The CLTC range is 775 km, 905 km, and 785 km for the Premium EV, Flagship EV, and AWD Flagship EV, respectively.
Both the PHEV and EV are built on 800-volt electrical architecture supporting BYD ultra-fast charging, which takes 5 minutes for 10 to 70 percent of the charge. Reportedly, to charge up to 97 percent, it takes only 9 minutes, and even in extreme weather conditions such as -30 degrees Celsius, it takes only 12 minutes for 20 to 80 percent charging.
The dimensions in terms of length, width, and height are 5,150 mm, 1,999 mm, and 1,505 mm, respectively. Its wheelbase is 3,030 mm. It comes with a seating capacity of 5 people in 2-3 layouts. Inside, it gets a 15.6-inch infotainment system at the center of the dashboard, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel, and a 26-inch AR-HUD.
Front seats come with zero-gravity features, and all the seats are ventilated, heated, and also support massage functions. Other notable features are the LiDAR-based God’s Eye B advanced driver assistance system, double-layer acoustic glass, and AMR wireless phone charging.
