Chery Fulwin A9 EV Bags 18,173 Orders In 72 Hours Ahead Of August Launch

Fulwin, Chery Automobile’s new energy vehicle brand, started pre-sales on July 9, 2026, of the A9, an all-electric sedan, with the price starting from 115,900 yuan. Within 72 hours, they have received a total number of 18,173 locked-in orders, as per the Chery Auto executive vice president, Li Xueyong. The available variants are Pro, Max, and Max LIDAR, with the prices of 115,900 yuan, 125,900 yuan, and 135,900 yuan, respectively. 

They will launch the model most probably in August 2026. Notably, the launch price is all set to be lower than the pre-sale amount. Following the launch in the Chinese market, it is all set to compete with electrified sedans in the segment, including the BYD Qin L EV, the Geely Galaxy E8, the Xpeng Mona M03, the Leapmotor B01, and the GAC Aion S Plus. 

The length, width, and height are 4,836 mm, 1,896 mm, and 1,489 mm, respectively. Its wheelbase is 2,900 mm, and its drag coefficient is 0.223 Cd. Available with a seating capacity of 5 people in a 2-3 layout, with ample boot space to carry luggage. It is underpinned by the Chery’s E0X platform, supporting 800V high-voltage electrical architecture and featuring a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain. 

It has a permanent magnet synchronous motor with single-speed automatic transmission. The power output of the electric motor is 178 kW (239 hp), and peak torque is 275 Nm. Equipped with the 70.11 kWh Rhino E lithium iron phosphate battery pack, whose range is 655 kilometers on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle.

Upfront, it has a body-colored closed-off grille, L-shaped LED daylight running lights, slim LED headlamps, a Fulwin logo at the center of the bonnet, a roof-mounted LIDAR sensor, a sculpted boot with smooth character lines, vertical air intakes on the side of the bumper, and lower active air intakes for cooling of the battery pack and brakes.

In profile, it has semi-hidden flush-type door handles, double-toned powered outside rear-view mirrors on the front gate with A pillars, flared wheel arches, a multi-spoke two-tone steering wheel, and blacked-out B and C pillars; and a rear get-through-type full-width LED taillight, black bumper cladding, and a roof-integrated rear spoiler.

The front and rear suspension are double-wishbone independent and five-link independent, respectively. Its CDC (Continuous Damping Control) electromagnetic adaptive dampers. Both front and rear brakes are ventilated discs. Instead of a manual hand brake, it has an electronic parking brake.

To ensure safe braking, it features ABS to prevent wheel locking, EBD to distribute braking force among both axles, Electronic Stability Control to monitor the vehicle’s direction and stability, a Traction Control System to prevent the drive wheels from spinning during acceleration on slippery roads, and Brake Assist to detect emergency braking.

It has premium leather upholstery and power-adjustable front seats for enhanced comfort, heated and ventilated front seats to keep the occupants warm in winter and cool in summer. Both front seats also feature massage functions to reduce occupants’ fatigue during the long drive. It also has a built-in refrigerator with cooling and heating, a wireless phone charging pad, and a panoramic glass roof.

It has a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating touchscreen infotainment system, which runs on the 3 nm automotive cockpit chip. It has an AI voice assistant with offline voice recognition, over-the-air (OTA) software updates, a navigation system, and Bluetooth connectivity. The centrally mounted screen is integrated with a 23-speaker Boya premium sound system.

Other notable features are a digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel, wrapped with leatherette, showing all the driving; remote vehicle control via smartphone; digital key support; and a 360-degree surround-view camera. For better practicality, it has large center console storage, covered armrest storage, and door bottle holders.
